TRAY TRANSFER SYSTEM

Designed to enable the body to remain on the same tray during its period at the mortuary, allowing the body to be transported within the mortuary without further lifting. The tray being used for both post mortem work in conjunction with the post mortem station and for storage purposes.

The body is stored in the refrigerated cabinet on the post mortem tray and is transferred by the use of a hydraulic trolley, to the tray transfer trolley which when positioned over the low level sluice unit completes the post mortem station.

The post mortem/embalming station comprises,
A fixed wall type mounted worktop incorporating, scales/equipment area, instrument/glove wash sink with hot and cold water supply, low level sluice or sink unit for waste fluids, thermostatic trigger action spray attachment , for body wash and cleaning purposes, ventilated dissecting/chemical area, which forms a vital part of the low level air extraction system, along with an adjustable height tray transfer trolley.

The use of the lightweight adjustable height tray transfer trolley offers the further advantages of not requiring fixed stands or brackets that penetrate the floor finishes and therefore provides the facility of a clear unobstructed florr for cleaning purposes by simply removing the trolley.

This system eliminates some of the physical work required of the technician, along with the obvious advantage that all surfaces to be cleaned are seen and readily accessible.

The equipment used in conjunction with purpose designed air conditioning systems, (which supply treated air at high level with extraction, at both dissecting bench and low level, on a negative pressure), helps to protect staff from odours and aerosols by creating a complete room, down draught ventillation system.
